Forrester examined 2,292 end user inquiries from enterprise architecture (EA) professionals. Most of these inquiries were on specific technology topics such as information and knowledge management, infrastructure and operations, and application development; however, 118 inquiries were related directly to the practice of EA. Fifty-one of these inquiries asked about best practices related to measuring EA, creating an EA strategy, communicating about the EA practice, and improving EA's effectiveness. These are the most challenging aspects of running an EA practice.
