Executive Summary

This tool bases application assessments on customizable questions and weightings in four categories of metrics: business importance, application condition, EA condition, and vendor condition.

Methodology

Use Forrester's Application Scoring Workbook as the starting point for fielding survey questions that will quantify the business importance and condition of individual applications as compared to the portfolio. The sample questions within provide an excellent starting point; however, they are intended to be customized to meet the depth of your assessment. Once the survey questions and answer scales are tailored to your needs, field your survey. The summary pages will rank your applications in terms of importance to the business on the "Y" axis and their condition on the "X" axis.
